Cushion Cover · Pure Washed Linen · Grey Dahab

€79

Dahab, which means gold in Arabic, is a small town on the south east coast of the Sinai Peninsula in Egypt so named because of its glowing beaches. Seville's Torre del Oro ('Tower of Gold'), known as Bury al-dahab in Arabic, was also named after the golden sparkles of its tiles reflecting on the river, which catch the eye.

Glowing. Sparkles. Fascination. Admiration. Gold must be used in moderation because in excess it can be blinging, but when it's just right it is perfect.

Peter of Castile, known to some as The Cruel and to others as The Fair, apparently kept his lovers in the Tower of Gold, where he wined and dined them while changing wives just a few days after getting married... It's not exactly what you and I might call Fair, but I guess that nickname referred to some other aspect of his character.
